PETANQUE TOURNAMENT - SATURDAY 5TH OCTOBER

Join us in Penryn at 1pm Saturday 5th October for our second Petanque Tournament. Teams compete to throw a ball at another, smaller ball to see who can get closest. The rules are below. If you fancy entering a team of 3, send us a message, we have a couple of spots left.

Or just come along and enjoy some refreshments. We'll have beer, a spritz or two, iced soft-drinks and something good to eat.

Petanque Rules:

Coin toss to see who goes first. The first team throws the jack.

The first team throws a boule towards the jack, then the second team does the same, each aiming to land their boules closest to the jack.

The team that doesn't have a boule closest to the jack throws again until they do, or are out of boules. The team with a boule closest to the jack wins the round and scores a point.

The game is won by the team reaching 13 points or by the team with the most points after 30 minutes, whichever is sooner.
